I've been eco-friendly for as long as I can remember. So I already set my mind that I will use old timer 'lampin' for my kids. Then somehow I found out about these cloth diapers. A few step upgrade from 'lampin' in term of look (they got a lot of attractive colour to choose from) and of course the price (hehe....) but as long as they are eco-friendly I don't mind.
How I love seeing these colourful Cloth diapers (picture from Lunatot)
So for those who's hearing cloth diapers for the first time, I won't explain it too long. Since you can certainly find out more about it with the help of Google. What I like to share are the benefit of using cloth diapers (CD)
- value for money - maybe you would find the a bit expansive when buying them for the first time but in the long run they are value for money. Because they are washable and you just have to buy a few set for one cycle of washing (or depending on your budget). Also you can use the same CD for the other kids
- healthier for your child - CD don't contain harmful chemical like the disposable one since they are made of cotton. And many parents testified that since using CD the rashes problem disappear and they are great with sensitive skin babies.
- and my favourite eco-friendly
- early potty training - from Wall Street Journal dated 4 May 2000, babies who are wearing disposable diapers (DD) will only start their potty training when aged 36 – 42 months! Which is 6 months later than usual. While babies who wear CD are potty train earlier ( the latest is 30 months ) because they are aware when they are wet and when they are not.
